T3 Books 3.0 Is Here: Charts, Board-Ready Report Packages, and Multi-Entity Power

T3Books Team

T3 Books 3.0 is live for every customer today. It's the biggest release we've ever shipped, and it touches nearly every corner of the app: reporting got smarter and more visual, sharing financials with your board got dramatically easier, and organizations that span multiple entities — or multiple countries — get a whole new set of tools.

Here's what's new.

See Your Finances, Not Just Read Them

Numbers tell you what happened; charts show you why. Version 3.0 adds 14 interactive charts across reports and banking:

  • Income and expense trends that make month-over-month direction obvious at a glance
  • A Sankey income flow diagram that traces where money comes in and where it goes
  • Budget bullet charts that show how each fund is pacing against its budget
  • Reconciliation aging views that surface uncleared transactions before they become problems

We also unified the look and feel of the income statement and balance sheet with a cleaner header and consistent controls, and added a comparative income statement so you can put periods side by side — month over month, quarter over quarter, or year over year.

Report Packages Your Board Will Love

Saved report packages get a major upgrade in 3.0. Bundle the reports you present every month into a reusable package, then share it with board members and donors via a secure link — no account or login required on their end. Update the package once and everyone sees the latest version.

If your treasurer's monthly routine involves exporting PDFs and attaching them to emails, this feature alone is worth the upgrade.

Built for Organizations That Span Borders and Entities

Many ministries and nonprofits aren't just one organization — they're a US parent with international operations, or a family of affiliated entities. Version 3.0 brings two features built specifically for them, available on the Advanced plan:

Multi-Currency Consolidation

If you operate in more than one currency, you can now roll every organization up into one consolidated report in your home currency. Exchange rates update automatically every day, and the accounting is handled correctly behind the scenes — including realized and unrealized foreign-exchange gains and losses — so your consolidated balance sheet and income statement always tie out.

Linked Accounts

Transfers between related organizations used to mean entering the same transaction twice and hoping both sides matched. With linked accounts, you record the transfer once: it shows up on both sets of books, stays matched, and is automatically eliminated in consolidated reports so you never double-count.

Plan Budgets Across Every Fund

The new multi-fund budget planning view (Advanced plan) lets you build next year's budget across all your funds in one grid — no more fund-by-fund clicking or spreadsheet side cars. Set it once, then track budget vs. actual all year.

More Ways to Connect Your Tools

Our integrations hub keeps growing. New in this release:

  • Pushpay — bring church giving data straight into your books
  • Bill.com Spend & Expense (Divvy) — card transactions mapped to the right funds automatically

These join our existing Plaid bank connections, Bill.com AP, Ramp, and PEX integrations.

New Plans That Grow With You

With 3.0 we've moved to three straightforward plans:

PlanPriceBest for
Basic$35/moSmall organizations getting started with fund accounting
Essentials$45/moGrowing teams that want bank feeds, AI transaction matching, labels, and report packages
Advanced$75/moMulti-entity organizations that need consolidation, multi-currency, linked accounts, auto-reconciliation, and unlimited users

Two things worth calling out:

  1. You can now manage your plan entirely in the app. Upgrade, downgrade, or switch billing frequency from the new billing page — with a clear preview of exactly what changes before you confirm. No phone calls, no support tickets.
  2. Existing customers keep what they have. If your current setup exceeds a new plan limit, you're grandfathered in. Nothing is being taken away.

Every plan still includes unlimited funds, unlimited free audit-only users, fund-level reporting, free setup help, and free phone and email support. See the full breakdown on our pricing page.

And One More Thing: Payroll Is Coming

We're building payroll designed for churches and nonprofits — clergy housing allowances, fund-aware wage allocation, and the rest of the quirks general payroll providers don't handle. It's coming in Fall 2026. Want to influence what we build? Vote on the roadmap.
